Kendrick Lamar & The Weeknd – Pray For Me
Kendrick Lamar continues to roll out new music ahead of next week’s Black Panther soundtrack, which he’s executive producing with Top Dawg. After hitting us with songs like “King’s Dead” & “All The Stars,” the TDE frontman decides to come through today and share his newest offering with The Weeknd called “Pray For Me.
Over the trance & cinematic production from Matt Schaeffer, Cardo, Cubeatz, and Sounwave, Abel handles the opening verse & chorus, singing about who’s going to save him from himself. “Who gon’ pray for me? Take my pain for me?,” he croons before Kendrick comes in for the second verse & lays down his respective bars, rapping aggressively about fighting for whats right & social injustices in the process.
